Project Overview

The **SAMCAR Project** (Slum Application for Monitoring, Controlling, and Rejuvenation) is a software solution designed to address the significant challenges in managing and rejuvenating slum areas. In today's systems, slum data is often stored in raw and unorganized formats, making it difficult to manage critical information and address the growing issues in slum areas. This project aimed to provide a unified platform for managing slum data efficiently, benefiting administrative officers in charge of slum development.

The Challenge

Slums are one of the most poverty-stricken areas in cities, and their development is hindered by the lack of proper data management. The challenges included:

• Data being stored in raw formats, making it unorganized and inaccessible.
• Administrative officers facing difficulties in managing slum-related issues effectively.
• Increased problems in slum areas due to lack of monitoring and control tools.

The Solution

To overcome these challenges, we developed **SAMCAR**, a comprehensive solution incorporating **geo-mapping** and a **unified platform**. This application offered two main modules:

• Monitoring Module: Provided a detailed overview of all slum-related data, allowing administrative officers to quickly access and review critical information.
• Control Module: Enabled officers to manage various slum-related problems effectively, providing tools to resolve challenges in slum development and rejuvenation.

This innovative approach improved slum data management, enabling government authorities to efficiently monitor and control adversities in slum areas. By integrating geo-mapping technology, the project provided precise location-based insights for better decision-making.
